Our Clara White Shade Sails are waterproof when installed correctly. You can find further information in our Installation Guide.
Please remember you always need to angle the shade sail by a minimum of 20-30 degrees and pull the sail as tight as possible, so the material is completely taut, allowing rain water to runoff. If square or rectangle, two of the corners will need to be positioned lower than the others and if a triangle, at least one of the corners.
The ready made Coloured Shade Sails are water resistant rather than waterproof, so will only provide protection in light rain.
The Made to Measure Shade Sails are available in a choice of 3 materials:
- 150GSM Polyester, which is for interior use only
- 200GSM Polyester, which is treated to be 100% waterproof when installed correctly
- 180GSM HDPE, which is not waterproof
