The HDPE material is not waterproof.
The 200GSM polyester has been treated to be waterproof, as long as the shade sails are installed correctly. The sails need to be angled at a minimum of 20-30 degrees and pulled as tight as possible, so the material is completely taut, to allow rain to run off. We do recommend that the sails are taken down in extreme weather conditions, such as high winds and heavy rain.
The 150GSM polyester is for indoor use only.
